An evacuation was ordered in a building in downtown Dallas due to a bomb scare after a suspicious mail package was discovered in the basement. A bomb sniffing dog alerted the management to a suspicious package that was presumed as a bomb scare.
According to the Dallas police spokesman, Senior Cpt. Kevin Janse, the building and the area around was cleared out due to the bomb scare. A bomb squad was sent to the 33-story building on Thursday morning.
The bomb scare was associated to the Fed Ex package that was found shortly after 9 am in the morning. The building, One Main Place in the 1200 block of Main Street was evacuated immediately.
According to the recent update on Dallas bomb scare in One Main Place skyscraper, the Dallas Fire Rescue has given all clear on the bomb scare. Apparently, the sniffing dog hit the box but it just contained paper files.
