Hard to believe but the Black-eyed peas star has been made the new Director of Creative Innovation at computer chip makers Intel.
Apparently, he will work with Intel on innovating ways in which music and other media work on smartphones and tablets.
It is not the first time that a pop star has been given the role of technology executive. Lady Gaga was appointed as the creative director of polaroid last year.
The Grammy winner was announced as director at internal Intel sales conference in Anaheim, California.
He tweeted: ''Its official. I just became the Director of Creative Innovation for intel. every beat I make is made with intel. And now were partners.'
Before this, Will.i.am collaborated with BlackBerry makers Research In Motion to help combine social networking with multimedia.
