Intend attempting at committing suicide? If you failed, it would be a costly exercise in Sri Lanka.

Health Minister Maithipala Sirisena has proposed to charge a fee for medical treatment at state-run hospitals from such patients while treatment at state hospitals is ordinarily free of charge.

Minister Sirisena disclosed his proposal during an address at declaring open a dispensary at Borella, constructed by the Colombo Municipal Council.

The proposal would come into effect from February 1, the Minister said.

I am surprised that this is allowed in Sri Lanka. Not euthanasia? Rated up!

A 13-year-old girl is raped and she gets pregnant. She has 'to carry the baby' literally over her lifetime. No abortion is permitted under the law.
That is our system, Gino.
