"Skins" star Sofia Black D’Elia was the subject of episode two of the lesbian tea. On the episode, Sofia Black D’Elia revealed the way she had to fight with herself to reveal her sexual orientation to her family. Sofia Black D’Elia is a 19-year-old actress hailing from New Jersey. It should be noted that Sofia Black D’Elia has played a brief role in "All My Children". Sofia Black D’Elia stated that she deems Tea as one of her high school friends.

“Tea for me actually was very similar to one of my friends growing up in high school,” Sofia Black D’Elia said. “I kind of used her as my sounding board”, she added. Sofia Black D’Elia further stated that she was a fan of the British version of the show.

Sofia Black D’Elia also explained Tea in her own words when asked to do so by the Entertainment Weekly. Sofia Black D’Elia believes that Tea has good confidence with a boyish kind of chick.

“I would say Tea on the surface is [a] very confident, tough, hang-with-the-boys kind of chick. At first glance, she’s kind of unrelatable because I don’t know many teenagers that have that air of confidence and her bravado. But underneath it all she’s just as unsure as the rest of us”, Sofia Black D’Elia said.

Sofia Black D’Elia agreed that last night’s episode had too many racy scenes. Sofia Black D’Elia further stated that she and the filming team do not bolt onto them since it’s just another day for them.
