Earlier this month the Grammy committee revealed that Arcade Fire, Cee Lo Green, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, and Katy Perry would be performing during the Grammy Award televised broadcast on February 13.
The Grammy Awards have long been known for presenting awards to the best in music. In recent years the televised portion of the Grammy Awards has been more about the musical performances and collaborations than the few awards that are presented on air.
More performers have been added to the performance list on music’s big night. Joining Perry, Lambert, Green, Lady Gaga, Eminem, and Arcade Fire will be Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber, R&B artist Usher, Jaden Smith, B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Janelle Monáe, country sensation Lady Antebellum, and rockers Muse. Over half of this year’s performers will take the Grammy stage for the first time; while Lady Gaga, Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry, Usher, Eminem, and Cee Lo Green are making return appearances.
With the addition of the new performances, all five artists who have been nominated for Album of the Year – Arcade Fire, Eminem, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry – will be performing.
The Grammy Awards are also known for their one off musical performances that feature collaborations only seen at Grammy Awards events. This year Usher, Justin Bieber, and Jaden Smith will perform; as will B.o.B., Bruno Mars, and Janelle Monáe.
The fifty-third annual Grammy Awards will be televised live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 13 beginning at 8pm.
