British comedian Ricky Gervais was spotted in the streets of New York by TMZ staff and was asked if he gonna be back as Golden Globes host next year. Ricky Gervais told the site, "I think twice is enough."
Before the encounter it was reported that British comedian Ricky Gervais is allegedly banned from Globes hosting in the future? "Ricky will not be invited back to host the show next year, for sure," a member of the HFPA told the source. And added, "For sure any movie he makes he can forget about getting nominated. He humiliated the organization last night and went too far with several celebrities whose representatives have already called to complain."
It's noted that Ricky Gervais went too far in opening monologue at Sunday's 68th Glove Award ceremony in dissing Hollywood celebrities. Gervais set the tone in announcing, "It's going to be a night of partying and heavy drinking -- or as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast." Basically Ricky Gervais took spot shots at Hollywood celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Charlie Sheen, Hugh Hefner, Mel Gibson, God, Mel Gibson,Tom Cruise, even Cher in his opening monologue when he hosted the Golden Globes. Even Philip Berk, the current head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA for short) cannot escape.
But Ricky Gervais fellow comedians seems standing beside him in his Golden Globes performance, to which he told the site, "Well, it's nice to be loved by your peers ... they stick by you."
Now the question pops out, was it a calculated move by Gervais or was it his intention to be affront at Hollywood celebrities thinking that his not planning to host back at Golden Gloves?
