A major earthquake hit in the various parts of Pakistan after midnight with a magnitude of 7.3. According to the Chief Meteorologist Muhammed Riaz, the epicenter was 150 km north-west of Kharan and 300 km from Quetta. According to Reuters, the earthquake hit 34 miles west of Dalbandin at around 1.23 am. The Pacific Tsunami Center assured that the quake would not trigger a tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
Several thousand people got out of their house due to the panic of the possibility of destroying their houses. The government requested the people to go back to their homes.
