England World Cup bid

England have announced their 15 man team for the world cup. Andrew Strauss remain the captain of the team. The drop of wicketkeeper bats man Steved Davies comes as a surprise. Davies picked ahead of Matt Prior in the tour against Australia but dropped from the world cup team because of his inexperience having not to play in the sub-Continent. Matt Prior is the keeping the wickets for England in the world cup.

Trott and Ajmal Shahzad also retain their position, and Collingwood is also included in the 15 man squad despite of being dropped in the recent tour of Australia.

The 15 member squad is: Andrew Strauss (capt), James Anderson, Ian Bell, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior, Ajmal Shahzad, Graeme Swann, James Tredwell, Jonathan Trott, Luke Wright, Michael Yardy
