Hotels today are becoming more creative and original. Designs are getting more bold and harder to do.
Now, the first underwater resort hotel in Asia will be built in the Philippines.
The country is getting ready to build this great resort. It will be built in one of the country’s top tourist destination, Palawan. It is now being called Coral World Park and has a multibillion budget. This project will be built and designed by an all Filipino team. Heading the project is Singapore-based businessman Paul Monozca. Helping him is Jose Manosa who will head the architectural designs of Coral World Park.
According to Monozca, “It’s high time we brought sustainable development underwater because there have been similar projects elsewhere in the world that have been proven successful." The project boasts of its undersea suites which is now being called Anemones. These Anemones will be submerged 60 ft. below sea level and has a 270-degree view of the sea. The Anemones are 15 ft in height and will be built by a US firm that specializes in submarines. Construction is set to begin soon and will be completed in two years. This project is a giant undertaking for Monozca’s group in ecotourism as well as replenishing the coral reefs in and around the area.
