(Reuters) - To hear a number of prominent economists tell it, it doesn't look good for the U.S. economy, not this year, not in 10 years.
It doesnt take an economic expert to see this. You dont need a crystal ball either. Just look in the rear view mirror.
Who produces most of the products you use including your Ipad and Iphone? What do you have in your home that says “Made in America”? We exported virtually all of our manufacturing to third world nations. We have an economy full of people pouring coffee, flipping burgers and mowing lawns. We've regressed while China has capitalized on our apetite for all kinds of consumer goods.
Those of you who still believe China won't surpass us are living with your heads in the sand. Rome was a powerful expansive empire at one time. Mayan civilization was well advanced for its time. There are numerous examples of great nations which had perished. The US will be one of them. We rested on our laurels way to long, we were arrogant and asleep at the wheel. When we finally awoke the United States landscape were dotted with an influx of asian banks...not possisible you say...you may want to check who actually control your local bank.
Theres a quote which goes something like “Those who dont know history are doomed to repeat it”. It could as well said “Those who ignore history”.
