Floods in Australia continue to increase in impact as flash floods hit the third biggest city of Australia, Toowoomba, killing two or more people.
These are the worst floods in the Australian history. Flash floods swept through stores and residential areas in a city of about 90,000 in Queensland State.
As soon as flash floods hit the Toowoomba city, 911 was bombarded with calls. According to the Queensland Deputy Police Commissioner, "We've had multiple calls requesting urgent assistance from people caught in vehicles, caught on the street, caught in flood ways."
One of the flash floods victims who died was a female pedestrian. The flood has been captured on video that shows a man hanging on to his dear life by clutching a tree as fierce water gushes by.
Queensland has been devastated by two weeks of continuous pounding rain and overflowing rivers sweeping cities away. 12 people have lost their lives since the flooding in various parts of Australia has begun.
