Iran plane crash - all on board die

Bad weather caused a tragic mishap, resulting in the death of 72 passengers travelling in a Boeing 727 airline. The aircraft belonged to the state-run Iran Air and had at least 105 persons on board, according to reports.

The plane came down in the Azerbaijan province near the city of Orumiyeh, around 7.45 pm (local time), yesterday. Of the 105 passengers, 32 have been seriously injured in the crash

All the bodies and the injured persons have been sent to different hospitals in the city of Orumiyeh.

The plane took off an hour later than the scheduled from the city of Tehran and was supposed to land in Orumiyeh. Bad weather conditions eventually brought the plane down.

One of the two black boxes of the aircraft has been recovered and investigations are on to detect the cause of the mishap.

As the plane hit the ground, television footage showed the plane breaking up into three pieces. Thankfully, the plane did not catch fire, due to which many could survive with injuries.

Air crashes are frequent in Iran, mainly due to the precariousness of its air fleet, obsolete and subject, like the rest of the country to an international embargo that prevents you from buying replacement parts.thanks for sharing!!1 RATED UP

Iranian officials blame the high number of air crashes in recent years the sanctions-ravaged country and prevent its airlines to buy new equipment or components.

Going through your comments, I believe that that Iran needs overhaul of its ageing fleet of air carriers, to prevent further mishaps!
