Born on August 20, 1939 and named as Ronald Allan Kelley Poe. His parents Fernando Poe Sr and Elizabeth Kelly of San Carlos, Pangasinan and Candaba, Pampanga respectively were both actor and actress during their times.

Four (4) days later, on December 14, 2004, the entire country mourned over his pre mature demise. He was finally laid to rest at the grave sides of his parents at Manila North Cemetery.
In recognition of his monumental achievements as an actor, he was named NATIONAL ARTIST for Film in May, 2006. His widow, Susan Roces declined to receive such award for her husband with the contention, it was only for "public display".
