The SPSL 2A league is heating up, and the Fife Trojans (2-1 league, 6-3 overall) are showing signs of cohesive and effective play on the hardwood. Once again, the Trojans have proven themselves to be possible contenders for league title, but they now face an unblemished Goliath as they go toe to toe with the undefeated Clover Park Warriors (3-0, 8-0) on Jan. 7. Last year, Trojans beat the Warriors on the road 58-50, and this year they face them with home court advantage.

Clover Park Warriors:
The Warriors come into the game after a tightly contested game against the Franklin Pierce Cardinals (2-1, 3-5) that came down to a last-second shot by freshmen Ahmaad Rorie in the lane that secured the win 56-54.
Warriors Stats (league play)
In spite of their home court advantage and their victory over the Warriors last year, the Trojans are the underdog in this matchup, statistically speaking. Fifesports.com predicts the Trojans may come up short 58-47. If senior sharpshooter Kevin McCrossin ignites during the game and repeats the stellar performance he is known for, the Trojans could take the game and the esteemed position of league dominance.
