In a plea to the public, the Los Angeles County's Department located in Monterey Park, California on Thursday night are looking for anywhere from four or more men who appear to have sexually assaulted ten developmentally disabled women in different locations, once of which appears to be a residential care facility.
The Sheriff's Department has been able to draw four composites of four of what appear to be eight men sexually assaulting ten women from more than one hundred hours of video that was shot by a security camera and a handheld camera that were placed onto a series of eleven DVD's that were anonymously dropped off by a tipster last March.
One video is of a woman wearing a diaper while in a wheelchair.
"We have victims, and we just don't know if the assaults are continuing. We have four suspects, and we need the public's help to take them into custody as soon as possible," stated Sgt. Diane Hecht of the Sheriff's Department reports CNN.
The videos are not being released to the public but photos of some of the suspects are being released in an attempt to identify them.
“Detectives asked the tipster to call the anonymous Crime Stoppers communication system at 800-222-8477 and provide details on the video's origins. Investigators said members of the public can also call the special victim bureau's hot line at (866) 247-5877. Information can also be provided anonymously by texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637) or by accessing the Crime Stoppers website at www.lacrimestoppers.org.”
