Celebrity Senior Citizens!

You won't believe who is getting old already.

[Jan. 6]

Baby Boomer actors, actresses, and artists hit the red carpet in Washington, DC on December 09, 2010 for a very sexy senior citizen event. The event put the spotlight on some very active seniors who most Hollywood friends would never think were on the down side of heading over the hill yet. [Dec. 12]

AARP The Magazine, the definitive voice for senior citizens and age 50+ Americans, has very impressive bragging rights thanks to the WWII generation.

The publication has the world’s largest circulation for a magazine. They boast nearly 35 million readers, and last night AARP honored the recipients of its ninth annual Inspire Awards.

The red carpet gala for seniors took place at the Ronald Regan Building in Washington, DC.

The Inspire Awards pay tribute to extraordinary people who inspire others to action through their innovative thinking, passion and perseverance — things the following star studded list of green celebrity seniors have in common.

Each of these star celebs was honored and recognized for their work with charity.

The 2011 honorees and attendees included Maya Angelou (Andrus Award Winner – AARP’s highest honor), Tony Danza (Motivating Students), Lisa Niemi Swayze (Searching for a Cure), Pedro Jose Greer Jr., M.D (Caring for the Poor), Joy Behar & Eve Behar Scotti (Tackling Heart Disease), Helene Gayle, M.D. (Fighting Global Poverty), Henry Winkler (Helping Stroke Victims), Sandy Chen Stokes (Breaking Cultural Taboos) and Elizabeth Warren (Fixing Finances).

Joy Behar recently quipped on HLN that Mel Gibson (another celebrity senior) claims he wants to move back to Australia. She said, "Great! That was he can watch his career go down the toilet counter clockwise..." proving that a sharp mind at any age always produces the funniest wit.
