Excellent story. I wonder if Ted Williams will be a Hollywood story for a movie similar to one of Will Smith's movies about a homeless man who became rich in New York.

in my opinion 'in pursuit of happyness' was loved so much because it showed that will smith got rich because of his efforts, not overnight fame. a real life story that was if i am not mistaken. this guy's also a real life story, feels good, yes, but the effort part is missing; guess it won't impress many as a movie. in news, it certainly looks good.

I am glad he made it to New York,I think getting over a drug addiction can be just as hard or makes a "hayypness" story more complelling. Addictions are terrible health issues. At least Will Smith or the person he was playing did not have this battle of drug addiction to fight. In volunteering with homeless people struck with addictions i have seen it and it is a completely different ball game. So I say kudos to be out here believing that he could make it is hard enough especially when people who do not understand say all kinds of negative things. There are different paths to success and I am glad he had the strength to persevere and make it.

Great motivation for others in a similar position. It takes much effort to become clean after homelessness and drug addiction. If one looks at Lindsay Lohan then one will understand how difficult it is to kick an addiction and return to normalcy. Kudos Kudos to this guy.

Ah, America. The only place that you never have to give up on your dreams. One day you’re a penniless Panhandler from Columbus, Ohio and before you know it, you’re sitting next to Matt Lauer on the set of the “Today” show and have people wearing t-shirts with your face printed on the front.

If only there were more good feel stories about panhandlers making it....
