A French navy helicopter on anti-pirate duty in in Southern Indian Ocean between the Seychelles and Mombasa

On 4th of this month the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has presented five sophisticated anti-pirate boats to the Seychelles government, now, yesterday the India has come forward to place one Dornier aircraft worth of $ 20 millions and two Chetak helicopters in Seychelles for aerial maritime surveillance on the Indian ocean around Seychelles to assist in anti-piracy operations of Seychelles Navy, against sea pirates in the region and for ensuring security in the Indian ocean for free flow of maritime traffic. An agreement to that extent has been signed between Indian High Commissioner at Seychelles and Foreign Affairs ministry of Seychelles
