The year 2010 proved to be a pretty good one for Facebook's founder and Chief Executive officer Mark Zuckerberg.

First came the news that the youngest billionaire was selected as Time's person of the year. He is aslo the youngest person to attain that accolade.

Now we learn that Facebook dethroned Google from its No.1 spot to become the most visited website in US in the year 2010.

Facebook was the most visited website of 2010, beating out Google, Yahoo! Mail, MySpace and YouTube.

The social networking site got 8.93% of all U.S. visits between January and November 2010, reported a technology website.

Though the search giant Google.com made up 7.19% of all visits, it trumped Facebeeok when all its properties such as Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps are combined.

The combined percentage of visits to all Google properties stood at 9.85%.

Google can feel a sigh of relief for the time being before Facebook comes up with its idea of Facebook mail.

It's time for Google to wake up !!!
