According to the reports Estonia has joined the euro-zone and became the 17th member of euro-zone, it has now become the first ex-Soviet state which adopted EU single currency.

The step for changeover in Estonia took place at midnight (2200 GMT) when they decided to switch from kroon to the euro; Estonia is a small Baltic nation which is having only 1.3 million populations. Most of the Estonians suggested to opt euro in survey poll to release the economic pressure in recent year.

Estonians Prime Minister Andrus Ansip quoted that "It is a small step for the euro-zone and a big step for Estonia," he said, holding the euro notes”

Slovenia and Slovakia have already joined the euro-zone which are said ex-Communist countries.
