Bobby Farrell, the eccentric frontman of the pop disco act from 1970s, Boney M, and the sole male singer of the band, has died in Russia, at the age of 61. The body of Bobby Farrell was found in a hotel room in St. Petersburg hours after he performed in the city, as stated by his agent, John Seine.
Although, the cause of Bobby Farrell’s death is yet to be established, it is known that he was suffering from breathing problems days before his arrival in Russia. Also on Wednesday, before and after the show, Farrell was complaining of shortness of breath.
"He did not feel well last night, and was having problems with breathing, but he did the show anyway", detailed John Seine.
Born Alfonso Farrell in Aruba, he was well known not only for his lip-syncing but also for his dancing and his extravagant costumes having bare torso and tight-fitting bell bottom pants.
