There has been a ski accident at Sugarloaf Resort in Maine, and people are still stranded in mid air
Skiers are still trapped on chair lifts at the Sugarloaf Ski Resort in Maine, as a chair lift ride ended in a tragedy. A trapped skier managed to grab his cellphone and call up CNN, telling the network how there still are so many people stranded in mid-air due to the Sugarloaf ski accident.
According to reports, around 100 people were heading up the mountain on the Sugarloaf Resort chair lifts, when the lifts fell some 20 to 30 feet and then stopped moving altogether.
Even though the rescue operations are underway at the Sugarloaf Resort, a lot of people were seen dropping from the chairlifts and there are fears of some injuries.
According to the rescue operators of Sugarloaf Ski Resort, people were seen falling down from a height of 30 feet, but they are now being taken to the hospital. According to the same source, it will take around one to two hours for the Sugarloaf Ski Resort rescue operation to get completed.
