Unfortunately this Christmas day brought a big failure for ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) since there GSLV mission gone up in smoke. An attempt to launch GSLV-F06 at 4:04 pm today (December 25, 2010, Christmas day) ended in the explosion of rocket in mid air. Sources say that the failure is due to the error in the cryogenic engine of the rocket which is made by Russia.
The mission was aimed to establish India's latest communication satellite in space. It is the second continues failure of GSLV; the previous one was on April 15.
More than 2 minutes after the launch from Satish Dhavan Space Centre at Sreharikkootta, the rocket deviated from its path and exploded in mid air. The parts of the rocket fell down in Bay of Bengal.
