The world's largest automaker, Toyota Japan, agreed to pay $ 32.4 million to U.S. authorities for its controversial handling of the recall of millions of cars with damage.

This is the second large fine you will pay, after disbursing $ 16.4 million in April.

Toyota has called for review to more than 10 million vehicles worldwide since September last year, a move that hurt its sales and tarnished the once impeccable reputation for quality of the company.

The car was severely criticized for failing to act promptly with the first called to review.
