Andrew attended a party at the Manhattan home of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein is a close friend of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, who is Prince William's uncle. Andrew is the UK special trade envoy. If you have been keeping up with Wikileaks you will also know that he has been portrayed as rude, arrogant and bullish.
The conversation at the party began with trade discussions but soon the forthcoming Royal Wedding was the main topic. The dinner guests all wanted to know what the bride and the other royals might be wearing, and even whether Prince Andrew's ex wifewould be getting a wedding invitation.
He seemed puzzled by the immense amount of interest the wedding has had globally, and at events such as the party. Andrew also reportedly told the other dinner guests that the Queen and other Royals were really happy for William and Kate. He said that Kate, the bride to be, is a terrific girl.
Prince Andrew successfully avoided giving ant definite answers on the Royal Wedding scheduled for April 2011. Dinner guestsand CBS news reader were angling for a wedding invitation but their appeals were not acknowledged. It seems that these were not the only two celebrities that night pestering Prince Andrew for a royal wedding invitation.
