Clay Duke the alleged Florida school board shooter took his gun Teusday's school board meeting and started shooting at the board members missing them by inches. After exchanging gunfire with the school security guard, he killed himself.
What is the reason behind Clay Duke acts?
Let's dig in the his stories proir to the shooting. Yahoo reports, about a week ago Clay Duke, 56, joined the famous networking site Facebook. On the About Me section he wrote,
"My testament: Some people (the government sponsored media) will say I was evil, a monster (V) ... no ... I was just born poor in a country where the Wealthy manipulate, use, abuse, and economically enslave 95 percent of the population. Rich Republicans, Rich Democrats ... same-same ... rich ... they take turns fleecing us ... our few dollars ... pyramiding the wealth for themselves."
Duke also posted photo stills from the movie and graphic novel "V for Vendetta". The movie's symbol is a red V inside of a circle and it account of a masked man who fights against a totalitarian government. Duke also qouted Percy Shelley's "Masque of" passage: "Rise like lions after slumber/In unvanquishable number/Shake your chains to earth, like dew/Which in sleep had fall'n on you/Ye are many-they are few." Clay Duke Facebook page, was public until late Wednesday afternoon before it was taken out.
Clay Duke interest in anarchy and being broke ex-con with a bipolar disorder at the same time his wife's running out unemployment benefits after she was fired from the school could be the tipping point that lead him to commit the crime. But triggered Duke obviously when his wife Rebecca was fired by the school district. Rebecca Duke was hired in September 2009 as a primary school teacher for students with special needs. She was given a 97-day probationary period, and was terminated.
Duke's wife Rebecca said, "He didn't want anyone to get hurt but himself,"and added "The economy and the world just got the better of him,"
It was noted that before he confronted the board members, he sprayed the wall with "V" in a circle which represents Vendetta. He had the opportunity to hurt someone but choose to hurt himself by committing suicide.
