Man Utd defeat Arsenal to go top

Ji-Sung Park's first-half effort handed Manchester United a hard-fought victory over Arsenal that saw them leapfrog their title rivals into top spot.

The South Korean improvised superbly to direct Nani's deflected cross over the reach of keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Wayne Rooney wasted a chance to double the lead when he blazed his penalty over after Gael Clichy had handled.

Arsenal's best efforts fell to Marouane Chamakh, who missed with a header and had a shot blocked by Nemanja Vidic.
