According to weather reports, the biggest snow storm in a decade is headed towards the twin cities, Minnesota. A foot of snow had fallen in Minneapolis, Minnesota by early afternoon. Nearly 10 inches of snow has blanketed in St. Paul and creating difficulties for people to tow their cars and trucks that have been stranded. The snow in areas of Minnesota is falling at a furious rate. Driving conditions are considerably worse in western and west-central Minnesota due to heavy snow.
The strong snow blizzard in Minnesota had serious aftermath for the day including closure Metro Transit System shutting down its bus routes early Saturday afternoon and for the first time in years snowstorm caused the closure of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Minnesota.
National Weather Service has issued a snow blizzard warning that covers most of southwestern Minnesota and edging into the metro area. Between 8 to 18 inches of snow is expected to fall, with the heaviest snowfall to cover the Hutchinson and Mankato to the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
