The South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) has objected strongly to certain remarks reportedly made against star couple actor
In a recent interview, Vanitha Vijayakumar, the estranged daughter of Vijayakumar has urged that Vijayakumar must be dismissed from his position in the Actors Association.
In this situation, the Actors Association is in the view that its dignity and honour is in jeopardy because of Vanitha and her recent statement.
In a statement circulated to the media, Nadigar Sangam president Sarath Kumar, Secretary Ravi and Treasurer Vagai Chandrasekar said they were shocked to learn about the latest developments as far as Vanitha is concerned and condemned the actress for her criticism of her father and vice president Vijayakumar, her mother and a member of the association.
Further, criticizing an actor who acted in more than 800 films in tamil, telugu, malayalam and kannada is quite sad as he has many awards including government awards to his credit. It also affects the dignity of the association, they added.
They have jointly announced that Vanitha has no right to talk about VijayaKumar’s participation in the Actors Association and asked the actress to hold good talks to solve the family crisis.
