Kekdi Khartar Gachchh Samgh organized Jain Deeksha (Renunciation / initiaion) ceremony of Ms. Pinky today morning. Process of renunciation was carried out in the Jain Dadabadi, Kekdi under the auspices of Sadhwi Chandrakala Sri Ji and Sadhwi Maniprabha Sri Ji of Khartar Gachchh sect of Swetambar Jain.
Ms. Pinky is a young girl from Jodhpur who has left all earthly pleasures in quest of her salvation. She will live her spiritual life from today. She had been felicitated by Kekdi and other Sanghs before her Deeksha. Her parents permitted her to do so and they were present in the Deeksha ceremony. They also offered a “Kambli”(A blanket type material used by Jain ascetics) to their beloved daughter after her Deeksha.
Large numbers of people from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Vyabar, Mumbai, Kekdi, Tonk and other places also witnessed the same. Steven Vose, a Pennsylvania university (USA) scholar was also present in the ceremony. He is persuading his Ph. D degree on Khartar Gachchh.
Vidhikarak Arvind Choraria carried out rituals of renunciation. Sadhwi Maniprabha Sri Ji declared the changed name of Ms. Pinky. She will be called as Sadhwi Prerna Sri Ji, a disciple of Chandrakala Sri Ji, a senior Jain nun.
