A man lost control of his car after a dispute with his companion and struck two children in the front yard of their Queens home about 5 p.m. Sunday, sending a 4-year-old girl to a hospital in critical condition, the police said.

An 11-year-old boy was in stable condition at Long Island Jewish Medical Center after the accident at 160th Street and North Conduit Avenue.
