Subha Won Miss South India 2010 Title

Shubha from Karnataka won the most beautiful lady of South India, it has been declared at the hairomax miss south India contest held at Le meridian International Convention Centre, Cochin on Saturday. Geethu from Kerala is the First Runner up of Miss south India 2010 and the second runner up is NikithaNikitha Naryan of Andhrapradesh.

The colorful and glamorous show conducted by Pegasus events consisted of three and a half hour programme with four sequences and cultural extravaganzas.

Femina Miss India South is a Beauty pageant established in 2008 for states including Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Miss India South have spread all over India to bring together the youth of South India reflecting the culture and tradition of Indian in its truest color, to showcase South India in all its splendor, it's exciting blend of culture, tourist destinations and natural beauty to the entire world.

16 contestants walked the ramp and vie for the ‘Miss South India' crown. 5 of the contestants are from Kerala, 5 from Tamil Nadu, 4 from Karnataka and 2 from Andhra Pradesh.

The winner of Miss India South, Subha, gets direct entry to national pageant Miss India as top 10 contestants. The runner ups get into the top 20 contestants Miss India south 2011.

The grooming sessions of the contest were consist yoga, meditation, personality development, and catwalk and beauty tips, began on Nov 3 to help the contestants enhance their strengths and overcome weaknesses.

The winner, Subha, got a gold plated crown and a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh, the first runner up Rs 50,000 worth of gifts and second runner up Rs 25,000 worth of gifts.

Former Miss India and actress Swetha Vijay, Tamil actress Aditi Chibber, Telugu Actor Kaushal Prasad, famous model Simer Mottiani and famous model groomer Manish Khullar are among those who judged the event.

Charity purpose is also behind this Miss South India contest, in which the organisers have decided to provide free heart surgery to 2 children at the Sunrise Hospital, Cochi with the profit of the event.
