Volcano, Tsunami Deaths Mount in Indonesia

JAVA, Indonesia - Even the experts in Indonesia can't say what was happening today in Mt. Merapi in Java wherein it erupted for nearly two weeks.

Its eruption was getting stronger and stronger when it was being recorded. Yesterday's eruption was recorded to be the strongest.

Consequently, evacuees have increased further. It was found out yesterday that the Merapi volcano blew gas and molten lava.

Some households were burned after it was reached by the lava which was blown by the said volcano.

According to state volcanologist named Surono, the said volcanic activity was strange, particularly the eruption yesterday.

"We have no idea what's happening," Surono said. "It looks like we may be entering an even worse stage now."

The presidential office staff Andi Arief, who is in charge of calamities have announced, that because of the said explosion which happened yesterday, the Mt. Merapi was raised to a "crisis" status.

It was found out that 38 people have already died in the eruption of the said volcano.

Meanwhile, the provincial government of Java were complaining that the funds is running out for the needs of the evacuees who have fled during the eruption of the said volcano.
