Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in law and Abhishek’s dear wife, Aishwarya Rai has seen incredible amount of success right from the time she was crowned with the pageant in 1994. And her journey from the ramps of Miss World to the galleries of Bollywood has been a long and exhausting one- but it has, certainly, been a fairy tale ride.
Now, that she stands at the thresh hold of her 38th year (she shall be turning 37 in November), life has thrown open the doors of options for her. She has the privilege of choice now. Being married, she may now slip into the garbs of a domestic wife and a dutiful mother (assuming that she becomes a mom in due course). Like someone like Kajol, she may prefer to do a handful of films with lengthy leisurely intervals in between.
Or, on the contrary, she may completely bid adieu to the showbiz world and return to the world of solitude away from the neon lights. However, that looks unlikely. If 2010 is anything to go by, then it would appear that she is very much inclined to continue her career with great aplomb. 2010, itself, has been one of her busiest years with 4 films up for release in ‘Raavan’, ‘Robot’, ‘Action Replayy’ and ‘Guzaarish’.
Hopefully, her diehard fans would continue to see her for decades to come and let’s wish she never retires but steps into the shoes of her divine father-in-law who, at 68, is picking up the Best Actor trophies- be it in Filmfare or on National stage.
