Lucas McKaine Ransom Killed by Shark Attack at Santa Barbara

A huge wave of water turned the fate of Lucas Ransom into a terrible death, while he was body boarding off the coast north of Santa Barbara.

It has been reported that a shark attacked the junior of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and within the blink of an eye pulled him under in a cloud of blood.

The 19-year-old student, Lucas Ransom cried for help, but the shark was very fast to get hold of his leg. His friend, Matthew Garcia, who was surfing two feet away from Lucas Ransom, stated that he swam towards his friend, brought him to shore and did chest compressions. However, the young Lucas Ransom had lost his breath and was dead due to the disastrous clawed signs on his leg.

After having a severe wound to his left leg, Lucas Ransom died a short time later at Surf Beach, which is located 130 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

The Sheriff Deputies tried hard to search the missing leg of Lucas Ransom, but only found the body board with 1-foot segment on the side bitten off.

It has been reported that Federal and State Fish and Game officials are working to identify the type of shark that fatally attacked Lucas Ransom.
