'Mapona' is the name of the first all-black porn movie of South Africa. Its producer Tau Morena wants to pass on a social message through 'Mapona'. He wants to raise awareness abut HIV/AIDS, especially after a porn movie actor was found to be suffering from AIDS. With an output of three to five porn movies a year, South Africa is just a babe in the woods when compared to America or Europe. Most of those involved South African porn movies are whites. But, a change is gradually coming - porn movies with blacks will be made to promote safe sex by using condoms. The porn movie makers feel that some sort of social message must be passed on to the blacks - namely, use the condoms.
