CWG Scam: Prime Minister constituted high level inquiry committee

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has constituted a high level inquiry committee to investigate CWG scam immidietely after the end of the Commonwealth games. The committee will investigate in to the matter and report the Prime Minister with in three months of its constitution.

CWG Delhi 2010 organizing committee and its Chairman Suresh Kalmadi are under questions and investigation. There were hue and cry in Indian and International media about high level corruption in the preperation of Commonwealth games for a very long time.

The CWG scam put Indian ability to organize Commonwealth games in question. It had seriously damaged Indian reputation. However, India has shown its ability and got back its credibility by organizing the games successfully.

In between, Indian players and medal winners met Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi today. Suresh Kalmadi, who is under investigation, was not invited in that.
