A Conference for Palestinian Art and Folk Heritage II was held in Prince Turki`s Theatre at Najah National University in Nablus Palestine on 13.10.2010.

The conference was attended by the president of the university, The Palestinian minister of culture, the dean of faculty of Fine Arts, a representative of the Palestinian Telecommunication Company as a sponsor, and a large number of members of administrative and teaching committees and students of the university, in addition to large number of interested people.

The conference is held today as participation from the university in the Palestinian day of Popular Heritage, which coincided on October 7th each year.

The opening ceremony was started by the Palestinian National Anthem, accomplished by the choir of Najah University, followed by reciting of verses from the holly Quran.

Then many speeches were recited by the President of the university, Coordinator of the conference activities, The Minister of Culture , The sponsor , and the Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts .

Then two sessions of the conference were held after the coffee brake , where many papers wee presented by specialists in heart and popular heritage.

A musical evening was also organized on Hikmet` Masri Open Theatre and included may sessions of folk songs and Palestinian folk dances .
