Legendary Gospel music artist Albertina Walker has passed away at the age of 81, Praise 103.9 reports.
According to her publicist, she died this morning at 4:30 a.m. in her hometown, Chicago.
In September, Walker was admitted into the intensive care unit and underwent a surgical procedure for a tracheostomy in a Chicago hospital. She dealt with respiratory problems - a condition she battled for years, and kept her on ventilator for the last few years of her life.
