Commonwealth Games 2010 host country India prove to be a formidable in hauling golds in the early stage of the CWG in New Delhi.

After the excitement of the spectacular opening ceremony and some of the first medals won yesterday, the games settled in as we witness some great sporting action.

Australia's cyclists dominated the debut velodrome events of the 2010 Commonwealth Games bagging all three golds up for grabs at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex on Tuesday.

India made it clear to sweep three golds in Wrestling.

India Wrestlers Anil Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Ravinder Singh bagged golds winning the 96kg, 74kg and 60 kg Greco-Roman category respectively.

This came the day after India shooters snatch 2 golds with Olympic Champion Abhinav Bindra and world number 3 Gagan Narang in the 10 mtre air rifle pairs.

India women shooters pair of Rahi Sarnobat and Anisa Sayyed gave the second gold of the host country on the first day.

This is the most expensive Commonwealth games ever. The total budget for the CWG is 11,494 crore (US$2.5 billion). Everyone should enjoy every bit of it.

All participating countries expect a victory. But the spirit of sportsmanship is expected to help world peace and harmony in society.

but do you think even half of that total budget was used wisely on infrasture? I dont think so, its all the politicians of india making money and getting india the bad names, dirty, unorganised, child labour. If they had used that money wisely thios wouldnt be the state as it was just before days of opeining CWG10. Good for nothing.I wonder if those ploiticians and officials would ever learn some lesson.
