Howard Arenstein, the CBS Radio News correspondent will be facing jail time and lost his job forever after he was arrested along with his wife for growing marijuana plants in their backyard on Wednesday.
On Monday the New York post reported that Howard Arenstein, who is also the Radio Bureau manger for the CBS news in Washington, was at his Georgetown home when Arenstein and his wife Orly Katz were arrested by the police.
Police received a phone call about marijuana plant grown in the backyard of Arenstein. A search warrant was issued and police found 11 marijuana plants as high as 8 feet grown in the backyard of the couple’s house.
Also in the police raid of Arenstein’s house six two-ounce bags of marijuana were found. The couple was arrested under the charges of marijuana possession with intent of distributing it.
Later on Sunday morning, both were released without having to post the bail.
