Chandrabose, aged 60, the evergreen music director of the late eighties and early nineties of the past century, passed away this morning at government general hospital. He was so unwell that he had been hospitalized and he was in coma stage for the past couple of days.
He is leaving behind his two wives Rajeshwari, Geetha, son Santhosh, daughter Gowri, and son Vinoth.
Earlier we reported that he was in coma but his condition was stable. We reproduced what his son vinoth said to us and we regret for the untime reporting of the news.
The music director has scored music for more than 120 films both in tamil and telugu of which his songs for Rajnikanth were evergreen hits.
“Superstaru Yarunnu Kaetta’ was the memorable song composed by the music director and at a time he was the favourite music director for AVM. He composed music for 12 of its films.
‘Anna Nagar Mudhal Theru’, ‘Raja Chinna Roja’, ‘Paati Sollai Thattadhey’, 'Manithan' were some of the films in which his music was stupendous.
Director VC Guhanathan's "mathurageetham" was the debut film for this popular music director and before debutting in films he was scoring music for devotional songs along with another music director of our times deva. He also worked in all india radio.
His work as a music director and lyricist in "Mangudi Minor" earned appreciation from the former tamilnadu Chief Minister MGR.
By lately he had been acting both in films and television serials. Undeniably chandrabose is a man of many talents and tamil cinema industry has lost another of its precious son.
