National Coffee Day is September 29th... It seems we have a day for just about everything, so it's no surprise to find that today is OFFICIALLY National Coffee Day...
Coffee is known to first have been consumed in Ethiopia, then moved into Yemen and later grew throughout the Arab world (so for those of you who want a way to protest the Arab world, lets see you give up coffee)
It was actually used in religious ceremonies in Ethiopia for a while, then it was decided coffee was a "bad" thing and actually banned for a while, but not to worry, it's now the most popular drink in Ethiopia and the rest of the world as well.
Most of the worlds coffee is grown in Brazil, followed by Vietnam and Columbia. While some religions have banned coffee, it's actually been shown that the caffeine can be beneficial... It's a natural preventative for Alzheimers, Diabetes (Type II), Cirrosis of the liver and Gout...
If you were lucky enough to invest in Starbucks before it became the company it is, that was probably "good" for your health to...
While most people can't live without it, there are some people who can't stand the taste (myself included) but absolutely LOVE the smell of roasted coffee beans - so, while I'll refrain, feel free to drink a cup for me...
