Rarely do people take the serious time or energy to investigate the impact of drugs. As in most scientific endeavors, studies with creatures or animals provide a glimpse into the impact or effects a certain psycho-active ingredient has.

This academic study demonstrates the effects of several drugs as they relate only to the common wood spider. It gives us a view of how important is may be caution others we know about the dangers of drugs or alcohol and the possible aberrant behavior patterns.

Courtesy of the National Canadian Science Board, we all now have the opportunity to watch an up close demonstration of psycho-active drugs and how they affect a spider’s web-building capabilities.
