A lot has been written regarding the lack of women statues in Statuary Hall at U.S. Capitol.
After detailed articles published about the statues in Statuary Hall, the descriptive process was revealed through which the organization, Equal Visibility Everywhere (EVE) underwent to continually make progress to change this.
Although, 11 long years have passed since the state of Kansas decided to replace the statue of politician and abolitionist, John James Ingalls with a sculpture of Amelia Earhart, the lack of funding and resources became hindrance in the way of the replacement process of Amelia Earhart's statue.
After that, EVE stepped up to carry on with the mission by advancing towards the state officials to manage the fundraising and accelerate the overall procedure of placing Amelia Earhart's sculpture.
Due to the efforts of EVE, the Governor Mark Parkinson signed a formal statue replacement deal this month and Kansas has handed over the entire task of statue replacement of Amelia Earhart to EVE.
After the accomplishment of the project, Amelia Earhart became the 10th woman on display amongst 100 statues at the Capitol.
