Lisa Beamer(32) is said to have remarried on Tuesday, a long 9 years after her husband Todd Beamer perished on Flight 93 when it crashed in Stonycreek Township, PA on September 11th, 2001. Todd Beamer is known as a national hero for his role in fighting against hijackers alongside other passengers to stop the plane from crashing into the Pentagon or Capitol building. Todd and other brave passengers stormed the cockpit of Flight 93 to attack the hijackers. His last words were recorded by the cockpit flight recorder as "Let's roll" as he rallied fellow passengers to put an end to this tragic act of terror. No one survived Flight 93's crash landing and all that was left at the crash site was a smoking crater and small amounts of debris after the rubble had stopped burning.
Lisa Beamer has since wrote a book called "Let's Roll: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage" about the life her and Todd had shared which also documents what she and her three children went through after his tragic death. She used some of the proceeds from her book to start the The Todd M. Beamer Foundation which help assist children dealing with family trauma and teaches them to make the right decisions despite their difficult situations At the time of Todd's death, Lisa was five months pregnant with their third child and was terrified of what was to come of her family after such a loss.Todd's heroic actions led to the widow being thrown into international spotlight being interviewed by Good Morning America,Live and PrimeTime Live and her photo appeared in magazines and newspapers around the world. On September 20th, Lisawas even introduced to the nation by President W. during his address before Congress. Lisa quickly became a symbol of hope for the families of other 9/11 victims around the country.
