There is good news for iOS users. They can now download a new application called Explore 9/11, where the users can actually view footages from the incident and explore the 9/11 incident via photos and videos uploaded by witnesses.
Explore 9/11 was launched on August 26, and it lets users interact with the World Trade Centre site as well.
During the National 9/11 Memorial, witnesses uploaded 9/11 photos and videos on the Museum Database. This application Explore 9/11 actually lets users explore and find out what actually happened, and what went through the minds of those present there. Though the 9/11 photos and videos are graphic and hurts sentiments too, however, it gives perspective on what happened.
An up-dated version of the application has been released on 10th September 2010, and it is available on Apple iTunes, free to be downloaded. It has been downloaded 100,000 times till now. The updated version has covered the 9 11 incident in a timeline, with geocoding and a new reality mode for the 9 11 photos.
