Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday condemned the plan by a pastor in the United States to burn copies of the Koran on September 11, calling it an international crime that could endanger "peace and harmony" around the world, dpa reported.

In a letter to Interpol Secretary General Ronald K Noble, Malik called on the body to contact the concerned authorities in the US to stop "this heinous criminal act by insane Terry Jones."

Malik warned that the burning of the Koran would outrage the entire Muslim world. "It will bring irreversible damage to the world peace especially when the world is fighting against all kind of act of terrorism."

Abdul Basit, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman, condemned the Koran burning plan by the Florida minister, saying that Islamabad was in contact with the Organization of the Islamic Conference to devise a collective strategy for Islamic countries on the issue.

If Terry Jones goes through with his 9/11 idiocy, he will be playing right into the hands of Islamic extremists.

Why is everyone poo-pooing in their pants anytime anyone dares to say or express how they really about the Koran and its teachings?
This man has as much right to express his feelings as that Looney tune of an Imam trying to show up the the families of the 9/11 terror attacks by building a Mosque in sacred ground.

While it is up for debate whether or not he should go on with this stunt, it is his Constitutional right.
