It has become a real fact that mobile phones have changed the outlook of human life for-ever. They are being used for a variety of purposes, including keeping in touch with family members, conducting business, and having access to a telephone in the event of an emergency. In addition to being a telephone, modern mobile phones also support many additional services and accesserries such as SMS (or text) messages, E-mail, Internet access, gaming, Bluetooth, Infrared, Camera, MMS messaging, MP3 player , radio and GPS and many other features.

But the menace sprouted out as the use of ear-phone device has increased to many folds as the device is handsfree it is being used to talk or listen to the music and FM radio on the mobile.

Number of people especially youths plugged in their ears and are traveling

through the roads and streets creating traffic nusance. With that not only putting their life in danger but also of others at stake.

It has become a main cause of accidents where the ear-phone was plugged in and does not hear the sound of horn from other traveling vehicles and resulted in accident, dashed by car or truck.

On the other hand its long hour use is also posing the serious health problem like hearing loss at the very early age. Eloborating on its seriesness Dr. Ratan Tiwari, ENT Specialist from Apollo BSR opined that when the device is being used it diverts the attention of commuter and become the prime reason of accident because the brain is being diverted from the orginal work and is divided into two separate principals. He said that its pro-long use results in permenant ear damage and the person can become deaf for life. He said that on the other hand if the device is not properly fit to the ear the skin around the ear gets infected due to the constant pressure and person feels pain when ever he plug in the device. He also said that there is minimum and maximum sounds decible limits for ear if it exceeds or decreases it also becomes the reason of deafness. He said that several cases of temperory hearing losses, permenant ear ringing and deafness are being reported every month.
