Pastor vows not to halt burning of Qurans

"We are still determined to do it, yes," the Rev. Terry Jones told the CBS Early Show.

Rev. Jones is determined to burn copies of Quran despite an early warning from Gen. Petraeus, in Kabul that says:

"Images of the burning of a Quran would undoubtedly be used by extremists in Afghanistan — and around the world — to inflame public opinion and incite violence."

US State Secretary calls it disrespectful and disgraceful, and the Pentagon chief clearly opposed the plan.

Even Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie who is currently in flood ravaged Pakistan condemns also the Pastor's plan.

The Vatican on Wednesday denounced the planned Quran burning as "outrageous and grave."

What kind of church Rev. Jones lead?

It's called Dove World Outreach Center. It has church of about 50 followers. It is independent of any denomination. We are not sure if Pastor Jones just making a stunt publicity of his church or what really his motives are. Well at this point he's on the top of media coverage which means he's riding a celebrity status.

The Pastor proclaimed in July that he would stage "International Burn-a-Quran Day." The Holy Text will be incinerated in a bonfire on Saturday Sept. 11 to mark the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Let's wait and see if Rev. Jones is really determined to go on his plan.
